Following the new wave of pressures on labour activists in Kurdistan, four labour activists were summoned by the Bureau of Law Enforcement (NAJA) in Sanandaj.
“On Saturday, October 07, four Kurdish activists including two members of Free Trade Union, namely Sharif Saeed Panah and Muzaffar Salehnia, and two members of the Coordinating Committee of labour Organisations, namely Galib Hosseini, and Khalid Hosseini, were summoned by the Sanandaj Law Enforcement Bureau.”, an informed source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
The summons obliged all four labour activists to introduce themselves to NAJA on Wednesday, October 11. It is noteworthy that there is still no information on the fate of Muzaffar Saleh Nia, another Kurdish labour activist and a member of the board of directors of the Free Trade Union of Iran Labourers, who was arrested by security forces in his house on Monday, Sept 25, 2017.”, the source added.
The source reiterated that on Friday, Sept 29, 2017, Sanandaj security forces entered Foad Zandi’s home by breaking the door, arrested and transferred him to the Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj while confiscating some of his personal belongings.
