Kurdish Human Rights Network has been informed that a Kurdish labour activist has been arrested on Monday Oct 14, 2019.
Faramarz Shariati from Sanandaj was arrested at his workplace by security forces on Monday Oct 14, 2019.
At the time this report was published, despite frequent follow-up of Shariati’s family and their visits to the security and judicial authorities, no precise information has been provided as to the detainee’s whereabouts and the reason for his arrest.
Another
Civilian Rahim Miro Segarkan, a Kurdish civilian from Morgor area of
Orumiyeh, was released from Orumiyeh Central Prison on October 17 on a
bail of 50 million tomans.
According
to informed sources, this Kurdish civilian was arrested by the forces
of the Orumiyeh Intelligence Service in mid-October and was transferred
to ward 3-4 of Orumiyeh Central Prison after a week of interrogation.
