Arrest

Abdollah Gholipour, a Kurdish civilian from Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested on 30 November 2024 during a raid on his home by the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Gholipour’s son, Hemin Gholipour, was also arrested during the raid.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.

Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.

Current Status

Gholipour is being held in the IRGC Intelligence Organisation’s detention facility at Al-Mahdi military base in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province.
