Arrest

Abdollah Ghoveh, a Kurdish civilian from the village of Kelijeh in Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence agents in the village on 15 December 2024.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.

Current Status

After initial interrogation, Ghoveh was transferred to Mahabad Central Prison, where he remains detained under a temporary detention order, in a state of legal limbo.
