Arrest

Anwar Moloudi, a Kurdish citizen from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested on 6 March 2026 after security forces raided his family home in Mahabad.

Following his arrest, he was transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied access to legal representation and family visits.

Despite repeated enquiries by his family to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any explanation regarding his situation.

Current Status

Moloudi is being held in Mahabad Prison under a temporary detention order.
