Arrest

Behrouz Farhang, a Kurdish civilian from Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at his workplace in the city on 4 March 2025.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.

Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.

Current Status

Farhang is being held in the detention centre of the IRGC Intelligence Organisation in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province.
