Arrest

Chia Nasrollahi, a Kurdish civilian from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence forces at his workplace in the city on 15 December 2024.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and was denied family visits and access to legal representation during his detention.

Current Status

After initial interrogation, Nasrollahi was transferred from the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province, to Mahabad Prison and released on bail on 15 April 2025.
