Arrest
Hassan Hassanzadeh, a Kurdish civilian from Javanrud, Kermanshah Province, was summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in the city on 25 December 2024 and subsequently arrested.
At the same time, his son-in-law, Ebrahim Gol-Anbar, was also arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence near Bisotun, Kermanshah Province, while returning from Tehran.
Defendant’s Rights
He was arrested without a warrant and was denied family visits and access to legal representation during his detention.
Current Status
Hassanzadeh was transferred to Kermanshah Prison after about 10 days of interrogation at the Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in the city and was provisionally released on bail on 6 January 2025.
