Khalil Parandak, an environmental activist and member of a dadkhah family from Ravansar, Kermanshah Province – a term used for families seeking truth and justice – was previously detained by security forces for several days in 2024.

Arrest

Parandak was arrested by forces from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation on 17 July 2026 and taken to the agency’s detention facility in Kermanshah.

He was arrested without a warrant and was denied access to legal representation and family visits during his detention.

Current Status

Parandak was temporarily released on bail after several days in detention.
