Arrest

Mansour Ghanbari, a Kurdish Yarsani civilian from the village of Marzalan in Salas-e Babajani, was arrested on 19 October 2024, at a checkpoint in the city, along with one of his relatives, Jamshid Haghani, by agents of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.

Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.

Current Status

Ghanbari is being held at IRGC’s Nabi Akram detention centre in Kermanshah.

Additional Information

On 19 October 2024, his brother, Yazdan Ghanbari, was arrested by IRGC Intelligence agents in Kermanshah.
