Arrest
Milad Rashidi, a Kurdish civilian from Saqqez, Kurdistan Province, was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence on 29 October while on his way to work.
Ministry of Intelligence agents later raided and searched Rashidi’s family home, confiscating several personal items.
His arrest is believed to be linked to a post he made on Instagram about “Israel’s attack on Iran”.
Defendant’s Rights
He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.
Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.
Current Status
Rashidi is being held in the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province.
