Arrest
Omid Abdollahzadeh, a Kurdish civilian from Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested on 15 May 2025 after being summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence office in the city.
His brother, Aziz Abdollahzadeh, was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents in the city at the same time.
Defendant’s Rights
He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.
Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.
Current Status
Abdollahzadeh is being held in the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province.
