Arrest
Peyman Shiri, a Kurdish civilian from the village of Taraqeh in Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by security forces together with his sister Srwa Shiri and his cousin Fardin Shiri in the village on 25 September 2024.
Defendant’s Rights
He was arrested without a warrant and was denied family visits and access to legal representation during his detention.
Current Status
Shiri was provisionally released on bail after several weeks in detention.
