Arrest
Kurdish civilian Salah Fathi was arrested by security forces in the village of Rashidabad in Divandarreh, Kurdistan Province, on 17 September 2024.
Defendant’s Rights
He was arrested without a warrant and was denied family visits and access to legal representation during his detention.
Current Status
Fathi was transferred from the Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, to the city prison in early October and was provisionally released on 8 October on bail of 10 billion rials (nearly 14,000 USD).
