Arrest

Yazdan Ghanbari, a Kurdish Yarsani civilian from the village of Marzalan in Salas-e Babajani living in Kermanshah, was arrested on 19 October 2024 by agents of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at his home in the city.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and was denied family visits and access to legal representation during his detention.

Current Status

After being held for two months at IRGC’s Nabi Akram detention centre in Kermanshah, Ghanbari was transferred to Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah.

Additional Information

In late November 2024, his brother, Mansour Ghanbari, and another relative, Jamshid Haghani, were arrested by IRGC Intelligence agents in Salas-e Babajani.
