Arrest
Zanyar Afsari, a Kurdish civilian from Marivan, Kurdistan Province, was arrested on 11 September 2024 after being summoned to the office of the Ministry of Intelligence in the city.
Defendant’s Rights
He was summoned via telephone, has been denied family visits and access to a lawyer since his arrest.
Current Status
Afsari is being held in the Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in Sanandaj.
