Arrest

Zanyar Seyyed-Ahmadi, a Kurdish civilian from the village of Beyram in Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by security forces in the village on 15 December 2024.

Defendant’s Rights

He was arrested without a warrant and was denied family visits and access to legal representation during his detention.

Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.

Current Status

Seyyed-Ahmadi was released after several hours in detention.
