Arrest

Zeynab Azizi is a Kurdish citizen from Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, who was arrested on 7 March 2026 along with her husband, Sirwan Amini, after security forces raided their family home in Sanandaj.

After some time in a security detention facility, she was transferred to Hamadan Central Prison.

Defendant’s Rights

She was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied access to legal representation and family visits.

The charge against her has been reported as “using Starlink”.

Current Status

Azizi is being held in Hamadan Central Prison.
