Young man executed for drug-related charges in Khorramabad

Azim Emraei, a young prisoner from Kuhdasht, Lorestan Province, was executed on drug-related charges on 27 July in Parsiloun Prison in Khorramabad, Lorestan Province. The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Emraei, along with at least two other prisoners, was moved to solitary confinement on 26 July in preparation for the execution.
