Hamed Farajpour, a 38-year-old kolbar from Saqqez, Kurdistan Province, passed away today after being shot by Iranian border guards yesterday in the Hangeh-ye Zhal border area of Baneh, Kurdistan Province.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Farajpour was injured after border guards opened fire on a group of kolbars without prior warning.

Despite being transferred to Salahuddin Ayubi Hospital in Baneh for urgent medical treatment, Farajpour lost his life today due to the severity of his injuries.

Farajpour was a father of three from the village of Darreh Ziarat-e Sofla in Saqqez.
