Iranian border forces opened fire on a group of kolbars in the border area of the city of Nowsud, Kermanshah Province, on 26 November, killing 28-year-old Yavar Veysi.

The kolbar was initially injured by the border guards’ gunfire without warning and at close range, but died from the severity of his injuries after being taken to Nowsud hospital.

Veysi was a 28-year-old father of two from the village of Qolqoleh in Salas-e Babajani, Kermanshah Province.

This follows another incident in which Farough Alizadeh, a 17-year-old child kolbar from Rabat in Sardasht County, West Azerbaijan Province, was shot dead by Iranian border guards in the Hangeh-ye Zhal border area in Baneh, Kurdistan Province, on the morning of the same day.
