At least three kolbars have been injured by gunfire from Iranian border guards in the border areas of Baneh, Kurdistan Province, and Nowsud, Kermanshah Province, in the past two days.

On 10 January, border forces shot and injured Mohammad Rashidpour, an 18-year-old kolbar, in the Kandeh Sour border area of Baneh.

Additionally, on the night of 11 January, a group of kolbars were shot at by border guards near the Nowsud border area, injuring kolbars Akbar Raznahan and Delavar Faramarzi in the legs.

The two kolbars, from the village of Tin in Paveh, Kermanshah Province, were transported to Paveh Hospital for treatment.

In recent days, two other kolbars, identified as Shoresh Khargoushi and Mirza Ahmadi, were killed by border guards’ gunfire in Baneh.

Ahmadi, a disabled father of two, had worked as a kolbar and fuel transporter in the border areas of Baneh and Balochistan in recent years.
