Kurdish civilians Shoresh Aboubakri and Delshad Mohammadi have been temporarily released from a security detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province, after being held for around three weeks. The release came after a bail of 5 billion rials (almost 10,000 USD) was posted.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the duo were arrested without warrants on 8 January during raids by security forces on their family homes in Sardasht, West Azerbaijan Province, and taken to a security detention facility in Orumiyeh.

A day before his arrest, Aboubakri had released a video on his Instagram account, in which he spoke about restrictions by government authorities and refusals to issue permits for his cultural and artistic activities in recent years.
