Iranian security forces have detained at least five civilians, including a child younger than 18 years of age, in the Karkhaneh-ye Qand village of Piranshahr, in Iran’s northwestern West Azerbaijan province, on 3 April.

The civilians were transferred to the detention centre of the Ministry of Intelligence in Piranshahr.

The identities of these detainees are Parisa Sepahi, 17 years old from Mahabad in West Azerbaijan province; Kaviar Elyasi, 18 years old from Mahabad; Yousef Hashrati, 22 years old from Piranshahr, Mansour Kani-Rashi, 32 years old from Piranshahr; and Erfan Zolfinia, 18 years old from Saqqez in Kurdistan province.

The reason for the detentions of these people is not known yet.
