Iranian security forces detained Seyvan Ebrahimi, a Kurdish language teacher and a member of the board of directors of the Nozhin Socio-Cultural Association in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, today and took him to an undisclosed location.

He was previously arrested at the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj on 3 January, while pursuing the case of his wife, Zahra Mohammadi, who is currently serving a five-year prison sentence over her activities, including teaching the Kurdish language and literature.

Ebrahimi was temporarily released on bail four days later.

Simultaneously, Soma Pour-Mohammadi, another member of the board of directors of the Nozhin Socio-Cultural Association, was arrested today in Sanandaj.

There is no information about the charges brought against these Kurdish teachers and their whereabouts.
