Every year in winter, with the onset of chill and snowfall, a number of kolbars in fear of being captured by border guards choose dangerous mountainous ways for carrying goods. However, such decision results in losing their life due to frost and falling from mountains.
Shoresh Omari
During the past couple of days, a kolbar has died in Sardasht border area due to falling off the mountain while another kolbar was wounded in the border areas of Mariwan.
According to reports received by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on Sunday, 14 January 2018, a 31year-old Kolbar from Mariwan called Farhad Dastoor was seriously injured as a result of falling of the Tate Valley of Oramanat(Hawraman) and he is now hospitalised in Mariwan.
Farhad Dastoor is married and has two children.
Also on Thursday, 18 January 2018, a Kolbar from Mahabad called Shoresh Omri was forced to change his normal route in the border village of Kani Zard of Sardasht due to the ambush of the border forces. Unfortunately, he fell off the mountain and died.
It should be noted that the 13-year-old daughter of Shoresh Omri, called Susan Omari was killed due to the explosion of gas cylinders in the Brick Furnace in Shabestar this year.
