In continuation of the systematic killing of kolbars, Iranian border forces have killed a man and injured two others in the past few days in the border areas of Baneh in Kurdistan province.
On 31 August, border guards opened fire on a group of kolbars in the border area of Marvi in Baneh and killed a 23-year-old kolbar named Saleh Rashidzadeh, who comes from Sardasht in West Azerbaijan province.
In 2019, border forces also killed this kolbar’s brother named Mohammad Rashidzadeh in the border area of Bazhar in Sardasht.
In addition, on 1 September, two kolbars identified as Karim Rasouli, 40, and Reza Hassani, 30, were injured after being targeted by Baneh border forces.
According to the statistics collected by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Iranian border forces killed at least seven kolbars and injured 12 others in the border areas of Baneh in the last month and a half.
Also, three kolbars were severely injured due to the explosion of landmines while working as kolbars in the border areas of the city.
