In the past few days, Justice Orumiyeh (also known in Kurdish as Urmiye), was rejected the request for a new trial provided by lawyers of six kurdish political prisoners.
An informed source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network, the Supreme Court based in Qom, reviewed and sentenced the case of six kurdish political prisoners “Kamal Ahmadnejad”, “Halmat Abdollahi ”, “Soleyman kori”, “Milad Abdi”, “Saeed Seyai” and “Mostafa Tahahzadehafter” after 6 months without hearing and summoning the witnesses. the family and lawyers of the six political prisoners requested a retrial in the past weeks in the Justice Orumiyeh that unfortunately, the request rejected under pressure of security agencies regardless of the evidence and witnesses words.
The informed source continued that The six prisoner files are about four hundred pages that made by intelligent service. While based on evidence and witnesses that provided by family and lawyers, they are innocent. Unfortunately, The Supreme Court, which held no hearing.
According to the source, “Although the prisoners accepted the Allegations in three sessions of interrogation, but in last August, they rejected these accusations and they mentioned that the confessions obtained under the torture and TV confessions and they dismissed the accusations.
Unfortunately, so far all attempts by lawyers and the families of the prisoners deadlocked and Kamal’s family are concerns for the risk of execution of him.
In the autumn of 93, Kamal Ahmadnejad, the prime suspect, along with five other citizens from the “Gavmish Goli” a village in Zarrineh Rud-e Jonubi Rural District, in the Central District of Miandoab County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran, “Halmat Abdollahi ”, “Soleyman Carrie”, “Milad Abdi”, “Saeed Seyai” and “Mostafa Tahahzadehafter” were arrested and detained to the prison with the killing of a member of Basij called “Hashem Zeynali” for 6 months. The TV confessions of them were released in November last year, by Press TV and Orumiyeh TV channel.
All six prisons have charged in a different courts for cooperating with Kurdish parties to 8 months imprisonment (2015). Five of the prisoners have received their sentences late and they did not have the possibility of objecting to the sentence. One of the prisoners has appealed against his sentence after 8 months and he has acquitted of the charge.
The court of these 6 prisoners was held in the branch of a criminal justice of Miandoab (West Azerbaijan Province, Iran), last August. Despite witnesses providing the absence of the prisoners at the Place of death and without listening to the lawyer, court issued the Final verdict.
Kamal Ahmadinejad sentenced to death and five other prisoners were accused of involvement in the murder and were sentenced to 15 years in prison. Later on, Four of the prisoners named “Helmut Abdollahi”, “Milad Abdi”, “Saeed Siahi” and “M (Saturn) Tahazadeh” were released on bail of three hundred million toman (Iran currency) from prison. But late February last year after glitch latest ruling by the Supreme Court of Iran, they were re-arrested and taken to the Miandoab’s prison.
