A prisoner named Mikaeil Moeini has been on a hunger strike in Bukan Prison for nine days, protesting the increase in the amount of bail required for being sent on temporary leave, sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
The prisoner, who has served three years of his four-year sentence, was handcuffed and taken to the gym hall of the prison after the announcement of his hunger strike. He was returned to Ward 2 of the prison today, 8 April.
