Iran: Prisoner executed over drug-related charges
A prisoner named Mir Soltan Amiri has been executed today in Orumiyeh Central Prison, in Iran's northwestern province of West Azerbaijan. Amiri was arrested about three and a half years ago along with his son Shahriar Amiri on drug-related charges. Later, the father and son were both sentenced to the death penalty.
