Security forces have detained yesterday Kurdish civilians Behzad Mohammadi and Nezhad Azizi in Shian village of Sanandaj, Kurdistan province. They have taken the two civilians to an undisclosed location.

A source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that security forces neither had an arrest warrant nor provided a reason for the detention of the two young men.

According to statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), security forces arrested at least 28 civilians, activists, former political prisoners, and former Kurdish party members in the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah in June. Of these, only five have been released.
