A Kurdish tradesman named Saadi Piran was shot and killed by Iranian police in the border area of Siranband in Baneh, Kurdistan province, on 25 February.

“The police targeted the Kurdish tradesman’s car at the Baghiyatollah intersection in the border area of Siranband in Baneh, without prior warning”, said a source in an interview with the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN)

The source added that the tradesman was not carrying any goods with his vehicle.

Piran, 35, was the father of two children and came from the village of Karimabad in Baneh.
