Iranian security forces have arrested at least seven Kurdish activists and civilians in the cities of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province and Bukan in West Azerbaijan Province in recent days.
The names of these individuals are Hero Ghadimi, Ahmad Moazzaz, Omid Touti, Ghader Fathollahi, Taher Soltani, Hassan Chakouch, and Hossein Chakouch.
Ghadimi, a civil rights activist from Saqqez, was arrested without a warrant after security forces raided his home in Saqqez today.
In a separate incident on 11 September, Soltani, an athlete from Saqqez, was detained by security forces at his workplace in the city.
The other five civilians were taken into custody by security forces in Bukan on 10 September.
There is no information on the charges against these detainees or the location of their detention.
According to statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), in August the security services detained at least 60 civilians and activists on political charges in various cities across West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Tehran provinces.
