Prisoner Siamand Ostovar was executed today for drug-related offences in Ardabil Central Prison in Ardabil Province.
The prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement for execution on 16 October.
Ostovar, a 39-year-old father of two from the village of Danguz in Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested and sentenced to death two years ago in Ardabil.
