Two death row prisoners Mohammad Morad Andishkou and Moslem Jamshidi, convicted of drug-related offences, were transferred to solitary confinement for execution in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, Alborz Province, on 21 November.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that after their transfer to solitary confinement, the prison authorities informed the prisoners’ families that they would be executed several hours later.

Andishkou, from Kuhdasht in Lorestan Province, and Jamshidi, from Harsin in Kermanshah Province, were sentenced to death in two separate drug-related cases several years ago.
