Prisoner Farzad Gol-Mohammadi, 32, was executed today in Sanandaj Central Prison on charges of “premeditated murder.”

Gol-Mohammadi was moved to solitary confinement for execution on 18 December.

He had previously been transferred to solitary confinement for execution on 9 December, but for unknown reasons the execution was temporarily halted and he was returned to the ward two days later.

Gol-Mohammadi, from the village of Palangan in Kamyaran, Kurdistan Province, was arrested around eight years ago on charges of “premeditated murder.”
