Iranian border forces targeted a group of kolbars in the Hangeh-ye Zhal border area of Baneh, Kurdistan Province, on 4 February, wounding at least four kolbars.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the kolbars, identified as Ali Aboubakri, 30, Khalegh Aboubakri, 37, Nasser Bari, 43, and Hemin (surname and age unknown), were subjected to close-range shotgun fire by the Iranian border guards without warning, although they were not carrying any goods.

All four suffered injuries to their legs as a result of being hit by dozens of shotgun pellets.
