Iranian border guards targeted a group of kolbars in the Sardab border area of Baneh, Kurdistan Province, on 11 February, killing a 26-year-old kolbar identified as Seyvan Sahihi from the village of Beleh Keh in Baneh.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the border forces opened fire on the kolbars at close range and without prior warning.
Sahihi’s body was taken to Salahuddin Ayoubi Hospital in Baneh and later handed over to his family.
