The situation and detention location of Kurdish civilian Mohammad Khaledi and his 16-year-old son, Ahmad Khaledi, remain unknown about 50 days after being arrested.

In early October, the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) raided the civilians’ home in the village of Segrik in Chaldoran, West Azerbaijan province, and took them to an undisclosed location.

Their family has repeatedly appealed to the security institutions and judicial authorities in Chaldoran but were not informed about the whereabouts of their family members.

Reportedly, the family’s’ daughter had joined a Kurdish opposition party a few years ago.

Since then, security forces have been exerting pressure on the members of the family for her return.
