On Thursday, February 08, A political prisoner held at Central Prison of Ardabil was exiled to Orumiyeh Central Prison after the verdict was finalised by the Supreme Court.

“Siddiq Eini, a political prisoner who had been previously sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Military court of Orumiyeh was exiled to Ardebil Central Prison after the verdict was finalised by the Supreme Court.” an informed source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

According to the source, this Kurdish citizen from the village of Shno (also known in Farsi as Oshnavieh), was arrested by Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) security forces on August 12 and was interrogated for about a month on charges of espionage and cooperation with one of the Kurdish parties. He was later transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison.

The court session of this Kurdish citizen was held during his military service in Branch 1 of Orumiyeh Military Court on October 24, 2017, and two days later, the 10-year imprisonment sentence with the exile was served on him formally in prison.
