A Kurdish civilian from Sardasht “Dara Rashidi” was transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison after being detained for 50 days at the Intelligence unit of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC ( Known as Al Mahdi detonation centre), an informed source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Dara Rashidi was arrested by security forces in Mahabad on December 09 and then transferred to the “Al Mahdi” detonation centre in Orumiyeh. He was under interrogation for 50 days.Security forces have stated that he had been charged with “membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties”.
He was arrested earlier in 2001 and held for 6 years in the Orumiyeh and Naqadeh prisons on charges of “membership in the Agri Sur Group”.
