Security forces today arrested Khaled Ahmadi, a retired teacher and a member of the Kurdistan Teachers’ Union Association, without a warrant during a raid on his home in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Ahmadi’s arrest took place while he was scheduled to moderate an online session for the election of the Kurdistan Teachers’ Union’s executive committee.
Details of the charges against Ahmadi and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
