On Friday, June 23, after an intense clash between the members of the Komala party and Iran Revolutionary Guards in Sanandaj, three Kurdish Peshmerga were killed. The IRGC summoned the families of the victims and warning them not to hold funerals for their killed family members.
An informed source told the Human Rights Network Kurdistan that on early Friday morning, passengers of a car (Peugeot) who were members of the underground organisation Komala Party, have been attacked by the Beitolmoghadas Army in Sanandaj. A member of the Komala named as Sabah Hussein Panahi and two other members of the underground organisation Komala Party, Hamid Saif Panahi, and Behzad Nouri, killed in the clashes. Another member of Komala Party, who was wounded in the shooting and arrested by the Revolutionary Guard, identified as Ramin Hosseinphenahi.
The source said that, Ramin Hosseinphenahi, was transferred to the Besat Hospital of Sanandaj after being arrested by the Revolutionary Guards and a few hours later was transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in Beitolmoghadas barrack. Following this clash, the Revolutionary Guard attacked his father’s house in Ghorochia village, in Dehgolan, and arrested some of his family. They were also arrested his brother Afshin Hosseinpanahi, a former political prisoner, who has been arrested by security forces twice before, in 2011 and 2016.
The source added that The families of the victims were threatened with arrest by members of Iran’s intelligence services in Sanandaj and Qorveh, who warned them not to hold funerals for their killed family members.
