In the past few days, a young woman from the village of Salath Babajani took her own life by self-immolation.
According to reports received by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), a young woman called Hajar Sadeqi Committed self-immolation due to “family issues” on Dec 27, 2017.
It should be noted that she was 26 years old, married with a child. Each year, about three thousand women, particularly Kurdish women, take their own life by self-immolation in Iran.
Women with no financial independence and social status are more likely to commit suicide.
