Two sisters (30-year-old and 35-year-old from Mariwan), ended their lives by hanging themselves.

In the afternoon of Thursday, May 31, two sisters, Amenah and Khadijah Saidid (residents of the Tappeh Musk of Mariwan) committed suicide by hanging themselves.

One of the relatives of the family told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that the two sisters had difficulty earning a living as tailors.

The source continued that the two sisters had committed suicide in protest to the increasing family disputes regarding the sale of their home as the  family’s only belonging.
