On Mondey, December 7, two young women were killed in the cities of Sardasht and Dehloran in the provinces of West Azerbaijan and Ilam .
A reliable source in Sardasht confirmed the news to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network while stating that “a young woman named Wafa Abdullahzadeh, 39, a mother of two and a resident of Sardasht, was shot three times in front of her home.”
According to the source, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Wafa Abdullahzadeh. She divorced a few years ago and lived alone after her mother died.
In an interview with IRNA, the Dehloran governor’s office also reported the murder of a 22-year-old woman from the village of Zulfiqar in Dehloran. According to him, the killer was arrested and sent to prison after admitting that he had strangled his sister. The motive for the murder is unknown.
Earlier, on Nov 29, 2020, another young woman named Sargol Habibi from Saqqez was killed by her brothers.
