Iran court sentences Kurds to several years in prison on propaganda charges
The Sanandaj Appeal Court has approved a prison sentence of eight-and-a-half years for Afshin Hossein Panahi and a five-year jail sentence for his relative Ahmad Amin Panahi, highly reliable sources close to the family of the two Kurds said in interviews with the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
The Branch One of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj charged the two Kurds after the judge found them guilty of spreading anti-state political propaganda and cooperation with an outlawed armed Kurdish party, the Komala Party.
Iranian security forces arrested Ahmad Amin Panahi in the evening of 26 March after the appeal court had approved the verdict, according to KHRN sources.

Iranian border guards kill and injure Kurdish Kolbar workers
Iranian border guards opened fire on convoy of Kurdish Kolbar workers in the village of Kani Zard near the town of Sardasht killing a Kolbar worker Ibrahim Soleimani on 26 March.
Slain Soleimani has left five children behind.
On 24 March, in the same area, the Iranian border guards targeted a group of Kolbar workers and severely wounded 37-year-old Loghman Ahmadzadeh, another Kurdish Kolber worker from the Sardasht area.

Landmines keep taking innocent lives in Iran’s Kurdistan
Two Kurds have been killed and three others have been wounded in two separate blasts in Saghez and Ilam.
A landmine explosion in in the village of Ishaq Abad in Saghez on 23 March wounded 35-year-old Mansour Moradi.
A landmine planted during the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s had caused the blast to which Moadi lost both of his legs.
On 25 March, a mortar round exploded killing two people and wounding two others at at ammunition depot of that wartime era in Ilam.
The blast had happened at a time when one of the victims had tried to dismantle the mortar round.
