Iranian security forces have detained a 15-year-old boy named Mohammad Fardani in the city of Mirabad, in Sardasht County, West Azerbaijan province. They have transferred him to an undisclosed location. The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has not yet received information on the reason for the child's detention and his whereabouts.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces have detained a Kurdish civilian named Ebrahim Alizadeh without an arrest warrant in Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan province, on 16 August.
