Ali Saeedi, a Kurdish civilian, was taken to Orumiyeh Central Prison after two weeks of interrogation at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Orumiyeh.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained information that Ali Saeedi, from the village of Hosenieh in the Soma Bradoost region of Orumiyeh, was arrested by security forces on Aug 11, 2019 and transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison after two weeks of interrogation.

This Kurdish civilian has been charged with collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties. He is currently serving his prison sentence in ward 4-3.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, at least 23 Kurdish civilians and activists have been arrested by the forces of Ministry of Intelligence and Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC) Intelligence unit in the cities of Marivan, Kamyaran, Sanandaj, Divandareh, Tehran, Sare-pole-zahab, Orumiyeh, etc. since late July.
