Security forces affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence unit arrested Dariush Moradi, a member of the editorial board of the cultural-literary site Hesareh, at his family home in Eslamabad e Qarb in Kermanshah province on November 23. The arrest of Dariush Moradi coincided with the arrest of another cultural activist known as Anisa Jafari-Mehr. The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) published a report on the arrest of Anisa Jafari-Mehr, the detention and her whereabouts on November 23. According to Ms. Jafari Mehr’s family who had a short phone call with her on 24 November, this detainee was being held in the Kermanshah Detention Center of IRGC.

During this phone call, Anisa Jafari Mehr informed her family about the arrest of other activists at the same time as her arrest, without naming anyone. She also asked the family to instruct a lawyer on her behalf to deal with her case.
